Three Sailor boys medaled at the season-opening Trojan/Eagle Invitational in Fruitport. Shores, which placed third as a team, was led by junior Caleb Branch led the Sailors with a fourth-place finish with a time of 17:00.99. Sophomore Aidan Kreps (15th) and senior Aidan Cook (18th) also medaled. Shores finished with 115 points; Grand Haven won the invitational with 39 points. On the girls' side, Shores placed fifth with juniors Cecilia Conrad and Destiny Kuznar both medaling. Conrad paced the Sailors with a fifth-place finish with a time of 21:09.43. Kuznar finished in 14th place. Additionally, sophomore Lilly Houle earned her varsity letter with a 25th-place finish. Shores finished with 133 points. Grand Haven won the invitational with 25 points.
