After two years without a home meet or a home pool, Shores was opened its season with a 94-91 loss to Unity Christian at the Sailors' home pool at Muskegon High School. Junior Robyn Hunt won both the 200 IM and the 500 Free. Hunt was also part of two relay teams that placed first – the 200 Medley relay (Caroline Carlson, Naomi Huttenga, Hunt, Sydney Sytsema) and the 400 Free relay (Hunt, Sytsema, Gabby Gaston, Carlson). Gaston (100 Free), Sytsema (50 Free), and Carlson (100 Back) all picked up first-place finishes.
