Wow!!!! What a great way to start off the 2020 COVID 19 / HS Girls Swim Season and a Big OK Green Conf. Win over Spring Lake 104-82. It was also the Turtles' first Win in the Tough New OK Green Swim Conf. With only four true practices in a 25yard pool and a lot of Summer dryland training and working on technique in the Muskegon Yacht Club Pool, it all paid off for the Mona Shores/Greater Muskegon Lady Turtles tonight! It was a great first meet and great to see everyone contribute to the Win! It was a total TEAM effort WIN!!! We Swam with a lot of HEART and PRIDE!!

The Turtles were led by Senior Evyn Johnson who won both the 50 Free and l00 Fly. Evyn made a State Cut in the 50 Free with a time of 24.73. Caroline Carlson dominated the 200 Free/500 Free with both races being Personal Record Swims!! Senior Olivia McKenna Won the 100 Breast. Senior Diver Michaela Sander won the 1 Meter Diving event. 200 Medley Relay (Caroline Carlson-Olivia McKenna-Alaina Kohley-Evyn Johnson) took First and Winning the 400 Free Relay was (Evyn Johnson-Robyn Hunt-Caroline Carlson-Olivia McKenna) The Team finished with 26 Personal Record Swims!!!

Once again, I was very proud of how we swam tonight in our first meet! With a lot more time in the pool and weight room in the next few weeks, I guarantee we will see some amazing swims and dives. Some major drops in time or Personal Record Swims are going to happen!!
