2022 Lady Turtles Swim/Dive Meet Report

Lady Turtles Swim/Dive tough against State Ranked Hamilton (6^th-D3) in a 74-112 loss. Tonight’s swim meet was a good test for us to see where we are with two weeks until the OK Rainbow Conference Tier 1 Meet. It also gave us a chance to see how we handle swimming back-to-back events and still swimming tough. I was very proud of the way swam/dove with a lot more confidence versus another State Ranked Team.

What the final score doesn’t show you is that the Lady Turtles Swam/Dove to 16 Personal Records and won seven of twelve events. Leading the way were double event winners Robyn Hunt in the 200IM (2:29.25) and 500 Free (5:44.79) / Sydney Sytsema winning the 50 Free (27.16) and the 100 Back (1:09.64).  Both Robyn and Sydney teamed up with Susie Van Baale and Naomi Huttenga to win the 200Medley Relay 2:03.07 and then later 200 Free Relay (Naomi Huttenga-Marilyn Gaston-Sydney Sytsema-Robyn Hunt) 1:51.65. Also placed first was Naomi Huttenga in the 100Fly (1:08.15). Placing Second was the 400 Free Relay (Eve Stout-Marilyn Gaston-Maria Eenigenburg-Susie Van Baale) 4:23.78, Marilyn Gaston in the 100 Free  1:00.83, and Susie Van Baale in the 100Breast 1:17.53.
